Hannover, Germany

August 2011 (then living here periodically for a year a year after)

Coming towards the last week of my trip, I took a train from Düsseldorf to Hannover. Hannover is an extremely quiet city. There’s really not much to do. It seems like a nice city to retire at. There are nice rivers, parks, and people. I loved shopping at Primark (Much better version of Forever 21), and did that to pass the time when I lived here. The people here were said to speak in hochdeutsch (High German – German without accent), so I felt that it really benefited the perfecting of the German language.
