Goal: To touch all the cats of the world.
Mission: To inspire others to see the world for themselves. There is enough on this Earth alone to entertain you for the rest of your life. I share the good and the bad in my travels, because although social media generally presents the beautiful side of things, I also want to share the raw and grittiness of real life.
What I believe in: Travel is not a luxury just for the wealthy. The world is my classroom. I seek exposure and diversity of cultures from all over the world.
Background: My name is Evangeline Chen, and I live to travel. Although I was born in Taiwan, I was raised both in Singapore and Los Angeles in my formative years. I graduated in June 2013 from the University of California in San Diego with a Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations and European History. I have a fascination for German History, so I ended up studying abroad in Germany for a year during my undergrad. More recently, I graduated in May 2022 from University of Southern California with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration where I currently work remote in Tech. I have traveled all over all 7 continents by the age of 30.
When I’m not traveling, I enjoy painting, reading, writing, watching movies, and going to concerts.
Wildest life changing experience: Living out of a carry-on suitcase and couchsurfing solo through 10 countries in Europe for 9 weeks (Summer 2011).
Traveling solo around the world for 3.5 months (Winter 2017).
Traveling solo to Antartica – All 7 continents by 30. (Winter 2021).
Update: Hung around the Middle East solo with a backpack for 15 days (Winter 2022).
